Hi and welcome to my little corner of the internet. My name is Lynn and I’m The English Lynnguist.

I’ve been teaching English as a second language since 2018. I was certified and started teaching in Thailand. From there I moved on to online teaching in China. I taught at a college in the USA throughout the entire pandemic. I officially went independent via a platform called italki in 2021 where I still reside today. And as of 2025, I am currently teaching in France.

What an absolute journey this has been!

As the world of teaching English as a second language changes, I, myself have found a desire to make some changes. First and foremost – my own website. Here I can make English accessible and create content that best fits the needs of my students as well as others who venture on in as well as blog. Secondly – a youtube channel. This has been something I have wanted to do for awhile, but I have always pushed off to the side. It’s never quite been the right place or the right time, but quite honestly it’s never going to be the right place or the right time – so it’s best to just jump in!

I look forward to what 2025 has in store!
